Ok, so I'm going to be back soon.  I apologize to everyone that I haven't spoken to in a while, but these last few weeks have been pretty bad.  

It will be a couple of days before I'm back into the swing of things, but I'm back.

Okay, so I don't know how I missed it, but the ever-lovely siubhlach tagged me for the fifteen fictional people meme. I usually haunt her journal like whoa, but I seem to have missed about two weeks worth of posts. Sorry, love, I don't know how it happened.

Okay, so, apparently I'm way behind in responding to people's comments. I like to respond to everyone that comments on my journal, and I've been lax in doing so. So, if a bunch of you guys get multiple replies from me today, I'm way sorry. I'm just playing catch up.

Truthfully, I'm sort of at the point where I'm trying to get some writing done, but it's not going so well and I needed a distraction. I have a deadline racing toward me (the light at the end of the tunnel? turns out is really is a train), and I have barely got a start on the fic. So...I may be screwed. If I post in the next few days requesting emergency beta, just kinda smile, nod, and think to yourselves, "yep, that's our luthic." Just warning you in advance.

Okay, so by now you're all probably aware that Jared and Sandy are engaged.  There have been several, several posts about this across fandom, and rather than replying to everybody else's journal, I've decided to just post my own thoughts on my own journal and get it over with.

First off, I am happy for them.  Truly.  This will in no way impact my participation in the fandom, or my writing for that matter.  Real life hasn't interfered with fantasy so far, and I see no reason to let it start now.  J2 lives on in the Anxiety Closet!!

Second, I'm not really excited for them, exactly.  I can't help it, I'm just not.  See, as I may have mentioned, I'm a huge Jensen fan.  Jared is great, but I'm in it for the Ackles.  And I dislike Sandy.  I don't know why exactly, but I definitely do.  I'm not even jealous of her, which I should be, because lets face it, she's smart, pretty, funny, and fairly talented.  But, not to toot my own horn, I'm smart, funny, fairly talented, and, okay, so I'm not pretty.  (handsome, cute, whatever.  So what?  I've never felt that the physical was the most important part of a person.

The only thing that really bothers me about the whole situation is the way that they handled it.  I understand that they wanted to wait (for whatever reasons) to announce the engagement, but to then show up wearing rings, and the little "slips" that Sandy made in her recent interviews.  That's the part that really cheesed my crackers.  I love the fact that they're going to be married, but they should know by now that they live a very public life.  I respect their wishes to maintain a level of privacy, also, but to make "slips" like that in interviews, and then back out of the comment.  

Okay, that's really my whole opinion on the subject.  Any thoughts?  questions?  concerns?

Sorry to do this, but I'm in a mood today. I'm waxing horribly nostalgic here, so if that isn't your thing, I would probably skip this post.

I realized how many friends I have on LJ now, and I feel the need to thank a few people just for being there. As an aside, I should be asleep now, but I had too much soda today and am having some trouble dropping off. Forgive any spelling errors, please.

I was just checking my flist, and saw that the newest chapter of the jensen inside 'verse by not_refined was posted, and was ecstatic. I've been reading this since the beginning, pretty much and it's wonderful, but usually makes me cry. I highly recommend it.

Then I started thinking about how just a few short months ago I wasn't even on LJ, at least not in a serious way, and I went back through my journal to, I don't know, kinda walk through memory lane of the last couple of months, and I got a little nostalgic, so bear with me for a moment.

I haven't posted for a little bit, so I thought I would give a brief update on my life, and, possibly more important for some of you, my fic. :)

I haven't gotten a lot written lately, but I finally have a couple of things started, so I think I've beat the writer's block. Thank Deity.

Also in fandom, Drusemia and I have decided that we're going to Creative Con in June. I know a couple of people that will be there *waves*, and I'm really looking forward to it. My S.O. was surprisingly supportive in this, so I owe him a huge thanks.

Finally, as far as my personal life, I think I've resolved some of my issues. This week I officially stepped down from my overnight supervisory position over the front end, and I'll be re-joining the electronics sales team as soon as my replacement is trained. This eliminates so much stress from my life it's not even funny. I think that the stress is what was causing my insomnia, and worse yet, my writer's block. I'm only guessing that, but both issues pretty much cleared up the morning I talked to upper management.

Well, I think that's about it. Weird. A mostly positive post for once. Huh, who knew that was even possible.

thelonejuliet-Wow.  again, where do I even start?  I adore you to little bitty pieces, too.  Your fic is amazing, and that's why I first started commenting on your stuff, and then we got to be real friends.  I love the fact that I seem to spending more time commenting on your LJ than I do posting on my own, and you actually seem to appreciate my advice, or anecdotes, etc.  Oh, and I'm insanely excited to be seeing you at the Con!
